From New Sandakan B&B, you can get Mile 14, Sepilok bus (that brings you straight to the centre) or any buses that pass Mile 14 (get off at the junction and either walk in for 2.5 km or get any buses from the junction).  Some pictures taken during my recent visit.

Sabah International Folklore Festival

Equatorial Monument On Borneo Island

Some people may not know this but the nearest equatorial monument to us here on Borneo Island is in Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat or Kalbar.  There is one in Quito, Ecuador, South America which is on the other side of the world.  It would cost a LOT TO GO THERE!!  It's somewhat easy to go to Pontianak nowadays what with MASwings and Batavia - Air offering flights from Kuching, Sarawak to Pontianak.  So do check the place out!
